Are you attending BBC Proms 2019?
Once again, the BBC Proms is back! We all know about this fantastic musical event. It will be held at the South Kensington’s Royal Albert Hall. It will start on July 19th and run until September 14th. If you are a newbie to this event, here are some helpful tips to bluff your way around this magical event.
What to wear?
When we think of The Proms we think of fancy dresses, bow ties and top hats. But this is not really the case! The Proms has no official dress code. Yes, guys! Pop to this event with the dress you want. Make yourself comfortable as there’s no restriction. Only the performers need to dress appropriately. This event is definitely not the opera, you can wear jeans if you want. Yet, you’ll see some people wearing funny hats and being totally patriotic. Lots of people will wear a Union Jack themed fancy dress. Things will probably get a bit crazy!
Have a seat
Moving on to the seating. You will need to book a ticket to grab the most comfortable seats. This will help you enjoy the shows. The tickets are cheap as chips, they’re around £3. So, book for your kids, partner or the whole family. If not, and you choose to turn up at the door. You may have to join the long queues, which may ruin your evening. The queues for the Proms start early in the morning – for the more popular nights, you might have to start queuing from the day before. However, tickets are available online as well! Book it now guys! There aren’t many places left.
Some security tips
If you’re new or a regular Prommer, attending the Proms is always an exciting experience for all there. You’ll be able to listen to some of the most stirring and beautiful music ever performed.
