Christmas at Kew
Are you ready for a magical light filled trip with Christmas at Kew? Yes, Kew is now aglow with millions of lights! The 20th November 2019 marked the beginning of Christmas at Kew at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in Richmond. It is now the 7th year of this event. It opens at 5 pm and closes at 10 pm. You will get to experience a spectacular light show at Kew, this will surely enlighten your Christmas 2019!
Let’s get Christmassy at Kew! This time there’s a new path… With an 18-meter-high treetop walkway in the Kew arboretum. It’s going to be thrilling! There will also be spectacular waterfalls of light- including four columns of light falling from the Treetop Walkway. Explore more new routes across the botanical gardens, don’t forget the light tunnel. These places will be filled with beautiful lights, so don’t forget your camera for selfies and pictures.
Also, Christmas at Kew includes a family-friendly fairground where you can chill out with your family. There will be a Fire Garden, where you can relax with the halfand have some romantic moments! There will also be vines with 8,000 LEDs and the Palm House Pond finale, where you can see projections shown across the lake and on top of the Palm House. This will be spectacular!
The show doesn’t end there! Glittering spiral trees will be lit up in the gardens. A luminous arch which will lead to a flow of shining silvery splinters across the Treetop Walkway. How about walking amongst the plants as their ribbons glow and light up. Under the branches, you will encounter mysterious fairy-fire which is known as Will-o’the Wisp which glows.
Christmas at Kew is going to be one of the most stunning shows in London. This spectacle of lights will be open to the public until January 5th, 2019. The main goal of this event is to give the guests the chance to delve into the historic aspects of the botanical gardens through illuminated trails. Showcasing more than a million Christmas lights, you can bring your family, friends, girlfriends or boyfriends for a night walk at Kew and enjoy a hot chocolate or coffee! It’s an event not to be missed!
